Hello all!

We signed our collective agreement (CA) today. We will be organising a small party soon to update everyone on the details of the new CA.

NUJ-Star Branch Biennial General Meeting

Re: NUJ-Star Branch Biennial General Meeting

As per the Union Constitution, the NUJ - Star Branch will hold its Biennial General Meeting @ Menara Star Cyberhub on June 28, 2016 @ 2.30pm.


The following will be presented and discussed at the meeting:


1. Minutes of previous BGM

2. Secretary's report

3. Treasurer's report

4. Election results for union committee for 2016 - 2018

5. Appointment of internal auditors for 2016 - 2018

6. Appointment of branch scrutineers for NUJ HQ upcoming election (scrutineers are given union leave to do this)

7. Members call for any motions to be discussed at the upcoming NUJ HQ Biennial Delegates Conference

8. Announcement on current status of NUJ - Star activities (including video work information gathering)

9. Open session for members to raise any queries, ideas or suggestions in regards to their work or the union in general



The first 50 attendees will receive a free bottle of Tapping Tapir soda.

Hello members,

Thank you for coming by to share your views and input for the upcoming CA during our informal meet up in January.

We also handed out a small contribution to Nurul Amni (editorial artist) whose family suffered losses in the east coast flooding in December.
